Service Description

This bulk booking gets you access to all four online sessions for Higher Physics. In Blast 1, we will practice how to answer questions involving unseen formulae/equations, as well as the important rule regarding significant figures for final answers when doing calculation questions. In Blast 2, we will practice how to draw graphs from given sets of data, and look at how to analyse graphs by calculating gradients and manipulating formulae. These are must-have skills that are tested in the exam paper every year. In Blast 3, we will practice common uncertainties questions such as how to calculate a mean and random uncertainty from a set of measurements, as well as the combination uncertainty in a final result. In Blast 4, we will look at the main features of a 3 mark open-ended response and explore sample answers for the most recent open-ended questions. There will also be the chance for you to think like an SQA marker! Once booked, you will receive a link to join a Skype meeting for your chosen event(s) and digital copies (PDFs) of materials to work through during the live session. Following the online session, you will also be sent a recording of the live workshop so that you can watch it back at your own convenience, along with digital copies (PDFs) of the solutions. FAQ: What if I can't make the date or time of the live workshops? Answer: You can still access the recording of the session afterwards so that you can watch it back at a time that suits you. You will also receive any materials shared before and after the workshop.
